SpongeBob Buddies!!

Both boys got Spongebob jammies for Christmas! Grandma Sue bought them for Riley and Grandma Baxter for Mason! They are so bright and cheerful, nothing like waking up to neon yellow clothes!! And to be honest, I think they make my boys act a little more goofy than usual! And of course, they both have to wear them at the same time!!

Way to save Christmas!

This Christmas, being in Oregon, we decided to go out and cut down a tree! My brother and I planned a day that he could help me with the kids! And just our luck, that day is the day our snow storm started! Due to the fact that we were snowed in, we had no Christmas tree. I was completely bummed since Mason was finally understanding Christmas. The two times I left my house during the storm, I slid down my street, with chains and all wheel drive. So I decided, the heck with a real tree, lets make one. I found a box in the garage. I drew an outline of a tree, cut it out and the boys and I painted it. We tacked lights on it, painted some ornaments and made ribbon bows! At first I thought , how ghetto, but actually we had a blast and I must admit, it came out cuter than I thought!

Snow Babies

Oh, and did I mention how cute the boys looked in their new snow outfits! And even though we don't get much snow, they sure come in handy on those cold wet days, like the night we went to the Zoo Lights! Thanks mom and dad for the great outfits!!

Snowed in

I guess snow is rare here in Oregon! In 10 days we had quite a bit of snow! So beautiful to look out and see and let the kids play in but not fun to drive! Mason had three weeks off from therapy because the driving conditions were so bad. We had 6 inches of snow, 2 inches of ice and 6 more inches of snow on top of that. My car doors were frozen shut!! Craziness!! All thawed out now!! I miss that Vegas sunshine!!

Happy Birthday Riley Bug!

Riley turned 1 this past weekend! The time sure has gone fast! Can't believe it has been a whole year since we had him! Having him at home was an amazing experience and well worth the sacrifice. With all the worries from his older brother, he seems to be developing as he should be! His favorite things are: smiling, following Mason around, fire trucks and bath time! He is a busy little guy, walking everywhere and getting into everything! It sure is fun to hear words come out of all that babbling! What a joy he is in our family!

Brothers....friends!

We've been waiting for the day our boys would realize how much fun it is to interact with eachother. Mason has a hard time with social skills and poor little Riley has been following Mason around trying to get him to notice he is there! Today it finally happened! All it took was a good day for Mason and the silly little red tunnel! Finally these two boys have realized the joy of brotherhood!

Riley has just discovered how to pull himself up to his feet and get around holding onto things! He sure is growing up fast! Riley is a breath of fresh air! Riley has brought a new spirit of fun into our home, always laughing, always smiling, easy to please! We have been blessed with such an easy going child and such a beautiful little boy!
